- What makes it different from traditional lead-generation websites?
- No subscriptions, no pay-per-lead charges and no competitive bidding marketplace. Opportunities are defined packages of work; you decide whether to express interest.
- How does the matching process work?
- We identify subcontracting businesses whose trade, service area, capacity and availability match a posted requirement, then invite them to consider the opportunity. Every opportunity is an invitation; you always decide.
- How much does it cost?
- Nothing for subcontracting businesses. Registration, browsing and expressing interest are free. The requesting business pays the €79 + VAT introduction fee.
- What information will businesses see about mine?
- Business names and contact details stay private. Opportunity providers see your trade, location, capacity, experience, declared safety documents and availability, and only after an introduction is confirmed are contact details released.
- Can I choose which opportunities to pursue?
- Yes. Every opportunity is an invitation. You review the information and decide whether to express interest; there is no obligation to accept work.
- How do I register?
- Register free with your email to create a private profile, then tell us which trades you cover, where you operate and when your business expects to be available.

Why Should Subcontractors Pay to Find Work?
We don't believe they should have to.
When a main contractor or another contracting business needs specialist subcontracting capacity, they have a commercial requirement. They need your skills, experience, resources and availability to help deliver their project.
That's why Subcontract.ie places the standard introduction fee with the business seeking subcontracting capacity, not with the subcontracting business looking for opportunities. Subcontracting businesses can register, browse and express interest free of charge.
- €79 + VAT per trade requirement, paid by the requesting business. Where multiple qualifying subcontracting businesses express interest in that same posted requirement, they are included without additional introduction charges.
- Separately, a requesting business can choose a specific subcontracting business from the directory for a €79 + VAT introduction, paid after that business confirms interest. Each different trade requirement is a separate paid request.

Subcontract does not intentionally distribute speculative tender-pricing requests through the network.
